Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

1.1. Definition

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): FAT is a verification process conducted at the manufacturer’s facility before the equipment is shipped to the site. The goal of FAT is to ensure that the equipment meets all specified requirements and functions correctly according to the design specifications.

1.2. Objectives

  • Compliance Verification: Confirm that the equipment complies with the design specifications, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
  • Functionality Check: Test the equipment’s performance to verify that it operates as intended.
